In the past four months, Nazdeek has completed four rights-based trainings in Ambedkar Camp and Khajuri Khas in Delhi. The training topics have covered the state as a protector of human rights, the right to safe motherhood, the right to food, and the right to water and sanitation.

At Ambedkar Camp, Nazdeek works with 8 women living in the camp and 10 girls from the surrounding area. At Khajuri Khas, we’ve been training nearly 20 women.

Upcoming trainings will introduce the SMS for Justice project to these two communities, so that women can identify, monitor, and report rights violations taking place in their communities. The right to adequate housing and the right to information will also be covered.
